Health and Safety
The Most Comprehensive Safety Program:
Norwood UK Ltd is committed to a holistic approach to a safe working environment, as demonstrated by our commitment in working towards certification under OHSAS 18001, one of the world’s most respected safety and health management systems.
OHSAS 18001 is a framework that requires us to maintain an externally audited safety management system that complies with the law, our standards, client requirements and, most importantly, a focus on constant, continual improvement.
For every job we undertake, we establish and strive to maintain an Injury-Free Environment mindset. In order to do this and comply with commitment towards OHSAS 18001 regulations, we develop and implement a site-specific safety and health management plan.
Safety excellence begins with thorough planning:
The management system requires a comprehensive method that addresses every aspect of system- and human-based safety. To accomplish this, a site specific plan is created that addresses each aspect unique to that job. It is designed to aid project teams to aggressively manage safety in such a way that allows us to deliver our aspiration of IFE.
Working collaboratively with our clients, suppliers or joint venture partners, we develop a safety plan prior to commencing onsite job activities.
