Sales Ledger / Admin Assistant

An excellent, immediate opportunity has become available for an administrator with experience, to join our busy and ever expanding company here in Lockington.

We are looking for candidates with Sales Ledger experience, excellent administration skills who will also have the skills to work in a fast paced environment with great attention to deal.

The Role:

  • Assisting in the production of invoicing / credit control.
  • To familiarize self with all credit control, accounting, quality and other relevant company procedures ensuring that these are strictly adhered to and familiarization with relevant computer packages.
  • Ensure customers pay within their agreed payment terms, chasing payments if necessary, as per company's debt collecting procedure.
  • Effectively dealing with customer account queries/complaints, including liaising with other departments to ensure they are brought to a satisfactory conclusion.
  • Daily handling of all cash/cheque issues.
  • To inform the Finance Manager of all important developments/problems on a regular basis.
  • Display a confident and assertive manor at all times when dealing with customers.
  • Promote an efficient and prefessional image at all times demonstrated by the highest possible standards of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • All other ad hoc finance duties related to the job.
  • Assisting in the booking in of work schedules.
  • Data input and spreadsheet completion.
  • Document checking, filing and collating of job sheets.

The Candidate:

  • Strong experience with previous administration roles.
  • Some exposure to a sales ledger environment desirable but not essential.
  • Outstanding attention to details.
  • Excellent Microsoft Office knowledge.

Electrician

Responsibilities:

Install, service and maintain electrical systems in commercial properties to a high quality standard in accordance with the current edition of IEE Wiring Regulations. To trace, diagnose and rectify faults using appropriate testing and measuring equipment.

Requirements:

Candidates should:

  • Have a high level of skill, knowledge and experience of electrical works
  • Have a current accreditation on the requirements of BS 7671 17th Edition.
  • Be fully conversant with the current IEE Wiring Regulations model reporting forms
  • Have City and Guilds 2394/2395 Inspection and Testing (formerly 2391).
  • Have an understanding of BS 5266 (Emergency Lighting)
  • Ability to trace, diagnose and rectify faults as well as understand and interpret work
  • Have experience working with instructions, drawings and schematic diagrams
  • Be able to prioritise workloads, be a team player, pro-active, self-motivated and have good attention to detail.
  • Enjoy problem solving
  • Possess good communication skills
  • Work well under pressure
  • Have good time keeping and attendance

The post holder will also have a full driving license and will produce it when requested. A good working knowledge of Microsoft Office and knowledge of email is essential as results are sent weekly to the office.

Experience:

Candidates must have completed of a recognised apprenticeship - NVQ / City & Guilds and must have a minimum of three years experience working within electrical/mechanical engineering.

Working hours:

Hours of work can vary according to the demands of the customer. All applicants must expect to be available to stay overnight across the UK from time to time. Flexibility is essential.
