Electrical Estimator

Responsibilities

To generate quotations for all aspects of electrical work, ranging from inspection and testing, through installation and remedial work, up to working within a team to complete tender documents.

Requirements

The Ideal Candidates should:

•    Have a high level of skill, knowledge and experience of electrical works
•    Have experience in estimating works and working from design briefs
•    Be fully conversant with the current IEE Wiring Regulations model reporting forms (ideally with experience using EasyCert Software)
•    Have City and Guilds 2394/2395 Inspection and Testing (formerly 2391).
•    Have an understanding of BS 5266 (Emergency Lighting)
•    Be able to understand and interpret inspection and testing reports to identify suitable repairs
•    Understand Health and Safety good practices and be able to produce Risk Assessments and Method Statements
•    Have experience working with and producing instructions, drawings and schematic diagrams
•    Be able to prioritise workloads, be a team player, pro-active, self-motivated and have good attention to detail
•    Enjoy problem solving
•    Possess good communication skills
•    Work well under pressure
•    Have good time keeping and attendance

The post holder will also have a full driving license and will produce it when requested. A good working knowledge of Microsoft Office and knowledge of email is essential, and experience using CAD would be beneficial.

Experience

Candidates should have experience in the Electrical Contracting industry, in both installations and inspection and testing disciplines.

Working Hours

Hours of work are office hours (9-5 or 8-4), and all applicants must expect to be available to stay overnight across the UK as needed. Flexibility is essential.

Install, service and maintain electrical systems in commercial properties to a high quality standard in accordance with the current edition of IEE Wiring Regulations. To trace, diagnose and rectify faults using appropriate testing and measuring equipment.

Requirements

Candidates should:

•    Have a current accreditation on the requirements of BS 7671 17th Edition
•    Be fully conversant with the current IEE Wiring Regulations model reporting forms
•    Have City and Guilds 2394/2395 Inspection and Testing (formerly 2391).
•    Have an understanding of BS 5266 (Emergency Lighting)
•    Ability to trace, diagnose and rectify faults as well as understand and interpret work
•    Have experience working with instructions, drawings and schematic diagrams

Due to continued growth and consistent work load we are seeking to recruit PAT Testers on a permanent basis to join our thriving team.

Responsibilities

To carry out PAT Testing in commercial properties ranging from Schools & Hospitals to Hotels and Shops, to a high quality standard.
